Chef Brian has donated an auctioned dinner for 12 to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank charity. The auction was part of a larger, month-long internet charity auction organized by Simon Davidson of Charlottesville29.com . Davidson rallied together dozens of restaurants, each with a unique offering, and auctioned off the packages to benefit the Food Bank.
The Fleurie auction offering includes a group dinner at Chef Brian's house, featuring produce from his garden. The auction ended at $6500, after a fierce bidding war. Each dollar provides about four meals for the areas' hungry, so Fleurie's auction will help provide about 26,000 meals through the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.
