Restaurant Week Charity

During January's Restaurant Week, Fleurie was able to raise $735 for the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, by donating $1 from each dinner. 

Our sister restaurant, Petit Pois, raised $829. 

That's a total of $1,564 from our restaurant group, which will provide over 6,ooo meals to locals in need.

Fleurie's Wine Director, Erin Scala, recently went to the Santa Cruz Mountains AVA to study pinot noir. She traveled with two other sommeliers: Booth Hardy of Barrel Thief in Richmond, VA, and Kim Prokoshyn of Rebelle in NYC. 

The team chose six pinot noirs to bring back to the East Coast, and they presented them at a Wine & Spirits Magazine event in Manhattan.

Chef Brian pulled out all the stops for this year's Truffle Dinner. Here are some delicious photos...... 
Here is a Truffle Mousse atop Arctic Char, with Root Vegetables and Shaved Truffles from Burgundy:

The Meadow's Pride lamb (above) got a healthy shaving of the Burgundy Truffle (pictured left below):

And Pastry Chef Serge Torres, created a plate of delightful truffle petit fours: Truffle Truffles, Truffle Brioche with Fruits, Truffle Madelines, and Truffle Macarons.

Auction Dinner Success!

We recently cooked our auction dinner for the winning bidder of the Charlotesville29 Blue Ridge Food Bank fundraiser. Chef Brian prepared a multi-course menu in his own home, made mostly from home-grown vegetables and local meats, and he paired it all with delectable wines from his cellar.
