Fleurie's wine list has been awarded a Best Of Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator! Fleurie is one of 8 restaurants in Virginia to win the award, and the only restaurant in Charlottesville.
Chef Brian has donated an auctioned dinner for 12 to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank charity. The auction was part of a larger, month-long internet charity auction organized by Simon Davidson of Charlottesville29.com . Davidson rallied together dozens of restaurants, each with a unique offering, and auctioned off the packages to benefit the Food Bank.
The Fleurie auction offering includes a group dinner at Chef Brian's house, featuring produce from his garden. The auction ended at $6500, after a fierce bidding war. Each dollar provides about four meals for the areas' hungry, so Fleurie's auction will help provide about 26,000 meals through the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.
Special thanks to Simon Davidson for organizing such a successful fundraiser for the Food Bank!
